Established by Carene Young who sadly lost her fight against Breast Cancer in August, 2002.

Several of the group members are continuing the E-mail Support and have launched the New Young Angels.

I first read about Carene's story in a Cancer Charity Newsletter but, it wasn't until I read her story in the Glamour magazine that I realised the similarities between our stories and made contact with her. Carene and I both offered similar support via the E-mail and we often used to draw on each others skills to deal with some of the support issues we used to encounter. She spent hours of her precious time helping others deal with Breast Cancer. Which can sometimes be very difficult when you are experiencing it for yourself. I am just thankful that members of the "Young Angels" group are going to continue the outstanding work that Carene started.

I would like to pay tribute to Carene's work, she was such an inspiration to anyone who has encountered this cruel disease, and I will certainly miss her constant E-mails and more importantly her friendship and support as I am sure other "Young Angels" will.
