The Lymphoedema Support Network The Lymphoedema Support Network (LSN) is the national organisation providing advice and support to people with Lymphoedema. The LSN works for better awareness of Lymphoedema by the medical profession and for appropriate and comprehensive standards of treatment and ongoing care for everyone affected by Lymphoedema. Web site: www.lymphoedema.org/lsn Breast Cancer Care also provide an excellent booklet on Living with Lymphoedema “Lymphoedema is a swelling caused by a build-up of lymph fluid in the tissues. This build-up is a result of damage to the lymph system because of surgery or radiotherapy to the lymph nodes (glands) in the axilla (armpit) and surrounding area” excerpt from booklet living with cancer.
