CHORLEYS ANGELS
Since the launch of the site CHORLEYS ANGELS has received E-mails from over 100 women, with several thousand visitor hits. At the time of setting up the site I never realised how quickly things would develop or how many people would contact me via the site. Initially, I was hoping to secure sponsorship for the running costs of the site but, have since decided to continue funding the site (along with my partner) for the foreseeable future. The recently launched PRIVATE discussion forum on MSN Hotmail appears to be working well. Depending on its usefulness, this will probably phase out the Discussion Forum on the site. Whilst it has proved popular to visitors, it doesn’t provide much privacy. If you are interested in taking part in the scheduled chats on the CHORLEYS ANGELS discussion forum please E-mail me and I will send you and invitation to join. The forum is members only! The fundraising continues - a friend of mine is currently organising a Christmas Raffle with the proceeds going to Vine House (Preston Cancer Help) and the Holistic Health Centre I attend has kindly offered to host another fundraiser early in the new year with the proceeds going to the Preston Breast Cancer Support Group of which I am Secretary. Our team is currently awaiting written confirmation from Cancer Research UK but, it is likely that we have raised in the region of £5,000. To assist me in the Email support side of things I am currently undertaking a Level II Course in Counselling Concepts which is proving to be very interesting and will probably also help me in my everyday/working life. So as you can see I remain busy supporting all areas of Breast Cancer. Always looking for new ideas and articles for the site - in particular book reviews so please let me have any information you think would be of use to visitors to the site.
