How CHORLEYS ANGELS was formed -

Having successfully completed surgery and treatment for Breast Cancer, my partner, some friends & myself established the G.HARRISON(BREAST CANCER CARE FUND) to raise money during 2001 to buy equipment associated with Breast Cancer Care at Chorley Hospital, in recognition for all the treatment, care & support I received from all the Staff at Chorley Hospital.

June, 2001 saw a team of 17 women enter the RACE FOR LIFE - and so CHORLEYS ANGELS was formed, it was a very enjoyable morning out for all the team and quite a moving experience knowing that most of the women who took part in the race had been affected by Cancer either themselves or a friend or family member.  The venue was the PRESTON SPORTS ARENA and was a 5Km walk or run depending on your level of fitness.  It is a yearly event with the proceeds going to

IMPERIAL CANCER RESEARCH FUND

The team collectively raised £1759.
